Make marinara sauce, gazpacho, tomato soup. Our marinara recipe begins with sautéing 6 cloves garlic with 1/2 cup of chopped parsley in a mixture of olive oil and butter. Then we add the chopped tomatoes, bay leaf, basil, oregano, s & p. Let it bubble and simmer to reduce the fresh tomatoes. Finish it off a good hour or so later with chopped anchovies (or fish sauce) and 1/2 can of tomato paste if needed to thicken. Grate parmesan cheese over and sprinkle ribbons of fresh basil if you have it. Delicioso!
